Swap Boxes Due By This Friday!
The swap is upon us! Are we ready ladies AND gentleman? Everything made, wrapped and boxed? Where's everyone at? My soaps are ready. I need to print my labels, and bag em' up. The plan is to ship out all boxes, by next Friday, depending on when I receive everything. I posted on the Summer Madness thread that $10 should cover shipping, cuz I'm using flat-rate Priority Mail boxes.

Instant Memberships for SMC Friends!
Instant Access! You can now request membership accounts for your soaping friends! There's a thread, in The Mailbox, that has a link to a form that you fill out, and I'll setup an account for your friend without them having to register! The invitation feature is on-hold now, because the board software MOD is not complete. So, just use the form, for now!

More Changes and Enhancements
Invite!: Hopefully, you'll be able to invite soaper friends to join our community, using a forum invitation. Each member will receive a designated number of invites.There are other features available with the invite MOD that you'll just have to see, if we get it. I hope we do. VIP Memberships: Charter memberships will have more lax requirements, so make sure you get to VIP status, by the beginning of August. After that, it'll be harder to get to VIP status (more posts necessary, longer membership length, etc.). Stay tuned...

Upcoming Changes
VIP Memberships The community will be undergoing some changes, within the next couple of months. What's on the table? Well, we want more involvement from our community members. But we don't want to strong-arm folks into becoming active in a community they chose to join. That never works, and it's frustrating for ALL involved. However, on the flip side, it makes absolutely no sense to join, and not join...in. We've created a new usergroup: VIP Members Who's eligible for VIP Membership? You must be a Full Member (100 posts +). You must be a member for three (3) months. You must be a member in good standing. Members who receive regular warnings, regarding community violations, are not eligible. Posting privileges/permissions will be modified, for registered users, star...

Summer Madness: The Swap
It's On! Our Mother's Day Swap was a huge success, so it's time to...do it AGAIN! It's all about...summer. Fruit on the trees, warm breezes, weekends at the beach and family reunions! The info and sign-up form are ready. There's a limit of ten (10) participants, so don't miss out! I have every reason to believe it'll only get better, with each swap. So, if you're a newbie, who still hasn't taken the plunge and made some soap, or a lurker who hasn't come out of the shadows, take this as your wake-up call! Join us!

You can now use "Quick Reply", when responding to a post. The "Quick Reply" button is located at the bottom left, next to the "new reply" button (when you're logged on).

Just a few reminders:
I tried to organize everything so that it'll be easy to get around. Take a little time and familiarize yourself with the layout. It's not hard to figure out. You just have to take a few moments, and look around and notice how the boards flow. The Board Tour is a great place to start.

In the "Front Desk" main forum, only mods/admins can start new topics. Registered members can reply. However, in the subforums, (The Mailbox, Newbie Central, etc.) registered members can start new topics, as well as reply to existing topics.

Post in the appropriate forums. It's not a "control issue". Really. It just keeps the boards orderly, so folks (like me) can find stuff. Information is great...when you can find it.

Finally, please use the "search" feature, before starting a brand new topic. There's a good chance that a discus...
